Located within the petrochemical complex of Camaçari, Bahia, this is the largest industrial unit of Ethylene Oxide and derivatives in Latin America. It also produces Non-Ionic Surfactants, Ethylene Glycols, Ethanolamines and Glycol Ethers.
The Oleochemical Unit is the first and only plant to produce Natural Fatty Alcohols in Latin America. With this unit, Oxiteno has integrated its production chain, strengthened its position in the Surfactants market, becoming a globally known supplier for the markets of Personal Care, Home Care and I&I. Operating since 2008, the Oleochemical unit reinforces Oxiteno's commitment with sustainability and the environment, since it uses raw materials from renewable sources, such as vegetable oils.
Oxiteno's Mineral Oils unit is the major producer of White Mineral Oils in Latin America. These oils, with high levels of purity, are produced through the processing of petroleum fractions, using the catalytic hydrogenation, according to international quality standards.
The Mauá industrial unit is located close to the largest consumer markets of Brazil. With a modern and flexible structure, it produces a diversified line of products and has facilities that manufacture Non-ionic Surfactants, Ethylene Oxide, Glycols, Oxygenated Solvents (Glycol Ethers and Acetates), Green Solvents resulting from sugar cane (Isobutanol and Isopentanol) and Functional Fluids.
The Suzano unit is located close to the city of São Paulo, and produces Anionic Surfactants.
The Tremembé industrial unit is located in the middle between Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. The unit manufactures primarily Anionic Surfactants, Co-Surfactants, Esters and Specialty Chemicals for the industries of Personal Care, Home Care and I&I, Agrochemicals and Functional Fluids.
The Triunfo Industrial unit is located in the South Petrochemical Complex, 52 km away from the city of Porto Alegre, capital of the State of Rio Grande do Sul. This is the only Brazilian producer of the oxigenated solvents MEK and sec-Butanol, particularly for the industries of Coatings & Adhesives.
The Coatzacoalcos industrial unit produces Non-Ionic Surfactants. Its privileged location, at the part of Coatzacoalcos, enables the transportation of their products by sea and railway, easily reaching the clients of the entire NAFTA region.
Located in the West part of the country, the Guadalajara industrial unit produces a great variety of products, having specialized and flexible production processes for the manufacturing of Non-ionic Ethoxylated and Propoxylated Surfactants and Fatty Esters. These products serve the markets of Food, Pharmaceuticals, Personal Care, Agrochemicals, Textile, and Oil & Gas.
Mexico's Research and Development Center is located in this unit, supporting the development of products and providing technical assistance to clients of the entire NAFTA region.
Located in the region with highest commercial concentration of chemical companies in Mexico, the unit produces Anionic Surfactants. Next to the facilities of San Juan del Río, Oxiteno operates a distribution center to serve the mexican domestic market.
Oxiteno Uruguay is located about 10km from the port of Montevideo, and has a production capacity of 81 thousand tons of sulfate and sulfonate surfactants as well as products for the leather industry.
Pasadena industrial site is located in Texas, one of the most important chemical hub in the world. Its start-up will take place in the beginning of 2013, and the site will manufacture surfactants and specialties such as esters, betaines and solutions for the agrochemical market.
The industrial site of Santa Rita produces Non-ionic Surfactants and Polyols. Counting with a well-equipped Laboratory for Polyurethane Applications, it tests the Polyols used in the manufacturing of mattresses, household appliances, and auto parts. It is able to fully meet the local market's demands, and also exports to countries in Central America, the Caribbean and other countries in the Andean region.
