In the second semester of 2007, Oxiteno will start up its Oleochemical plant, becoming a pioneer producer of fatty alcohols in Latin America.

With this investment, Oxiteno reinforces its leadership in the supply of surfactants for the Personal Care, Household and Pharmaceutical markets.

Located in Camaçari, Bahia, Oleoquímica Indústria e Comércio de Produtos Químicos Ltda, Oxiteno's wholly-owned subsidiary, will be the manufacturer of this new product line and will count on the whole infrastructure and the same product and service quality found in Oxiteno.
